ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm Julia.
I currently live just outside of Clinton, Michigan with a bunch of dogs. I work as an aircraft technician and fill my spare time with dog activites, building computers, bicycling, and gardening.
I have owned at least one catahoula since 2003. I started with a rescue mutt and went from there; rescuing dogs and collecting catahoulas ever since. I really started to focus on the breed in 2021, and my first purebred catahoula, Inari, came home in 2022. I'm very focused on improving the genetic and physical health of the breed as a whole. I want to produce dogs that can work hard, play hard, and live in the house as part of the family.
All of my breeding dogs are NALC/UKC registered, embark tested, have CAER eye certification, OFA hips/elbow + Pennhip x-rays at 2 years of age (with fair or higher rating), other tests as necessary to ensure health. I also evaluate temperament; I won't breed a dog that doesn't have a sound mind and attitude. I give each dog a variety of activities to try and let them excel in what they enjoy doing.
I have future plans for puppies, but I won't proceed with a pairing unless I have a waitlist. I want every puppy I bring into the world to have a home waiting for them.
